The Central Coast Cricket Association in conjunction with Cricket NSW are excited to invite any Female Junior Players and any Coach/Manager/Parent involved with the Junior Girls this upcoming season to a Junior Girls Coach Development and Girls Pre-season Clinic.
AIM – To empower local clubs to grow their junior girls’ programs and improve player retention through strong club support, development opportunities, and positive participant experiences.
Date: Thursday 8 October 2026
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Venue: Bill Sohier Oval, Ourimbah
Cost: FREE (Covered by Cricket NSW through funding from Play Her Way)
This event involves two parts:
- Girls Pre-Season Clinic – For girls in U13’s, U15’s and Female Youth League (Open for those girls who play in the mixed U9’s and 11’s). Girls will take part in the clinic as their team that they will be playing with this season alongside other clubs from the same stage. They will be coached by our team of female CCCA representative coaches, CCCA high-performance academy members, and Cricket NSW coaches. They will learn skills that they can take back to club cricket!
Junior Girls Coach Development – Designed for adult and older teenage coaches or team managers, regardless of experience or accreditation who are looking after one of our girls teams. Led by CCCA Representative Coaches and Cricket NSW coaches, the program helps coaches learn the key skills and fundamentals needed to support girls’ cricket development. Coaches will stay with their teams throughout the clinic, gain practical training ideas and resources, and leave better equipped to deliver engaging and effective sessions during the season.
Along with this, for anyone who wants to receive their Junior Coach Silver Accreditation (Formally known as level 1 community coaching accreditation), they can tick off the practical component on this day. Prior modules will be required leading into the clinic.
Other information:
- There will be a free Sausage Sizzle BBQ for anyone that attends
- For every 8 junior girl registration and 1 adult registration per club will receive a FREE coaching pack
- Fees for the Junior Silver Coach Accreditation will be covered (Free)
We would really appreciate it if clubs can promote the clinic (both to female players and would-be coaches) opportunities through your club networks, social media channels and directly to players, parents and coaches. We hoping to get as many girls as possible to attend out of the 23 junior girl’s teams who have nominated for the 26/27 season so far.
